The Mail

I have known her for so many years... we grew up together. We may not be close initially but over the years we got really close. Marriage and kids got us even closer. I was always there for her. I have always looked upon her as my little sister. We have shared so many things. Maybe things would not in this way if she clarified with me first! Betrayal and back stabbing has never been a word of LeoMitra's dictionary. Well... the showdown would bring forward lots of truth which have been buried for a long time.

" I have always been very very frank with you and I am sure you know it as well."

Maybe I guess... she did not know me as much as I thought or even as much as I know about her.

~ I am sure GOD is watching as you mentioned.

Exams and Jitters..

This goes a very long time back....

I HATE SCHOOL
I HATE EXAMS
I HATE TEACHERS
I HATE RECESS TIME
I HATE SCHOOL KIDS ( well I was one b4 )

I do not see the reason as to why we need to sit for exams. Coz when you come to the working world, nothing is relevant to what you have studies at all. This ismy personla opinion la. I could be wrong after all....

My cousin Rubern Naidu ( malaysia ) got his O level results today..and he scored 10 As and 2 Bs. Well... he is one boy in our family whom we were anxiously waiting for his results to be out. In sec 3 he topped his school and he was featured in newspapers and his parents were interviewed as well.

He his head is really big ya!! Well done Rubern. You have made the whole family proud.

The drive to look younger

I had a good time at work yesterday. I cherish very second of it. After work it was also "fun". The better half and myself went for a movie and dinner. I watch this horror tamil movie called " Yavarum Nalam ". As for today... I have just started work and I am already thinking of what to cook tonight. Karuvadu ( Kurau Salted Fish ) it shall be. :)

Thanks Sho for the lovely flowers... you really made my day!! Leo saw the bouquet and asked why you never include his name!!! I replied with a smirk " dun ya ever think abt it baby! " Hubby never liked flowers and he believes that they are a total waste of money. But cares.. my bff sent me a bouquet which consist of roses, chocolates and doll pens. Sho, my colleagues at work are eyeing the doll pens... but no worries the bouquet is safe and sound at home.

My lovely OGS gals got me this Moroccan Rose shower gel, bath | massage oil and body cream. Awesome rosy smell. I LOIKE!

And of course these pics would not be possible without Lin... thanks Lin!

ps: Latest news... Ms X walked straight to the closed glass door and bumped her head. OUCH! What a weirdo!

The Great Big 30!

“So? You’ve turned 30?”

“Huh! What’s so special about turning 30? I’ve turned all years from 1- 29, then why do they keep on harping about this 30 alone?” Turning 30 seems to be a devastating blow for the youngsters. Why is this soul searching only at 30 and not earlier or later?!!

Why do we people get stuck to this “Age 30” syndrome? Why not at 20, 40 or even 50? The truth is we do contemplate on our every birth year, but 30 seem to be a crucial number because others say so!Age 30 sends a wave of panic among the youngsters, and a feeling of dread. They think that 30 is a milestone, and one should have accomplished what he had aimed for, and he should have achieved his goal by then.

What have I done till now? What did I want to do? Is everything over? Have I settled down in my life? Education, career, marriage - What else have I left to do? Baby???So many questions running in their mind.

The underlying tensions and expectations to have them all figured out by the age of 30 surfaces during this cross over.

Life is not a neat and complete package. We do not know what is in store for us. Perhaps the past generations were a luckier lot, because by the time they reached the age of 30, they had almost fulfilled, achieved what they wanted in life. A lucrative job, and a wonderful family with kids, and they kept on going.

Though the latter generations have still a long way to go, the choices, options and opportunities being offered to them are complex, yet lucrative.

They can afford to change track at 30, switch and jump over their aims and goals, and strive to the top.

So what if people say you are old? We become older every second, every month, and every year. First accept that you are old and you are 30. Hahaha.....

30 years was an age when the older generation was married and had two kids. But now guys think of marrying only after the age of 30. So now people come to you again with the standard question, “Aren’t you married yet?” Or if you are married it would be... why no baby?? So many curious faces and anxious queries, too many personal questions are all to be faced.

However, we can say that the 20s period is a training ground where the youth have to strive to materialize their fantasies through trial and error. And 30 is the right age when one starts to make these fantasies into reality.

There are varying views that while some view 30 as a mere number, we may also consider it as a significant birthday where we can do a lot of soul-searching and self analysis, where flirtation, fun and life’s entertainment take a back seat, and the value of life, friends, relationship and other important aspects in life comes to the forefront because at this age you have earned the right to be yourself by now!

Does this "turning 30" syndrome applicable to men also? I dont think so because men have a tendency to take it all in their stride.

Happy Birthday to me!

Cooking! Hassel??

What a refreshing morning....

Yesterday night I came back home and cooked. I did Sambar which is dhal curry and ikan bilis | quail eggs sambal. What a combination baby....

It was just awesome. My mom recently got me a small 3Liter pressure cooker from india. That thing is just so damn useful. I washed the dhal, added the veges like potato, brinjal and carrots with 3 pcs of garlic and one green chili sliced.. I tell you... it was all cooked in just 10 mins... awesome ya simply awesome. So much time saved plus gas.

The better half was in kinda good mood yesterday. He helped me deshell quail eggs, cut onions, wash the utensils and so on.... while I cooked.

So much for home cooked food eh!

I feel like I am newly married once again :)
